These Lepro Permanent Outdoor Lights Are My Favorite New House Upgrade so Far

Ever since we bought our house, I wanted to install permanent outdoor lights. But eight months later, I still hadn’t installed them. My procrastination stemmed from a fear of disappointment: What I wanted was far more than I could pull off on my own and without extra equipment. My house has a beautiful, oversized deck and an awesome gable with a massive window and high peaks, and learning to rent and operate a boom lift was daunting. But recently, setting my fears aside, I decided to get started.

I went with 150 feet of these Lepro outdoor string lights and carved out an afternoon to install them. And while 150 feet isn’t enough for my ambitions—I plan to rent that boom lift and add more lights around the deck and the peaks of my house—the lights I installed are absolutely beautiful. I set an automation for the lights to turn on each evening, and I can use the app to change the colors whenever I want, like for Christmas or Halloween.
